Conduct Unbecoming of a School Board Candidate:

Scott and Steve are unfit to serve

Steve McKenna

Implicated for his actions in the Tailhook sexual misconduct scandal [Explicit Content Warning]
  • In his book, Stephen McKenna recounts that while he was at the Tailhook symposium, he was drinking at the outdoor pool when a fellow flight instructor dared him to go up to a young woman who had very long hair and touch her hair with his *censored*. McKenna said he did what his colleague dared him to do, turned around, and then went to his hotel room where he fell asleep. At the time McKenna completed this dare, he was serving as a flight instructor-- a teacher. [Fair Winds, Following Seas, and a Few Bolters, Stephen C. McKenna, 2022]
  • Steve McKenna did not voluntarily take accountability for his conduct, stating instead: "I hold no grudges against the friend or fellow flight instructor that turned me in to the Tailhook commission." [Fair Winds, Following Seas, and a Few Bolters, Stephen C. McKenna, 2022]

  • "One thing I did not look forward to upon returning to San Diego was addressing my second pre-deployment arrest. I pled guilty in January and the court sentenced me to forty-eight hours of roadside work (orange vest and all), a $990 fine, completion of San Diego's First Offender Program, enrollment in the Navy's Alcohol and Drug Substance Abuse Program (NADSAP) for six months, six months of AA meetings, and five years of probation." [Fair Winds, Following Seas, and a Few Bolters, Stephen C. McKenna, 2022]

[Colorado Times Recorder, 10/23/23]

We cannot risk Cherry Creek Excellence, and the high property values that come with it, on these two far-right candidates.

We’ve seen what happened in Douglas County, and that has no place in Cherry Creek! No to DougCo.
